“We had an incredible experience at this retreat! Sarah was an amazing host; welcoming, thoughtful, and truly intentional about creating a space where you can relax and reconnect. There’s something really special about being surrounded by nature while also having the opportunity to connect with others in a meaningful way. Everything felt peaceful, well-organized, and genuine. You leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step away from the noise and reset.”

“The Charmadillo is a hug. I planned this trip for my husband and I as a time to reset and it was above and beyond! I've never been to a place so well curated to relaxation and coziness. The cabin is beautiful and the bed was so comfy. From the cleanliness of all the amenities to the little things that make you feel welcomed and looked out for, the attention to detail is impeccable. All of this plus the gorgeous views of the hills in the day and the stars at night! I'm missing it already and am already looking forward to my next visit.”

“I stayed at the Charmadillo in A-frame #7 with a large group Feb 20-22, 2025. I had a great experience. I appreciated all the little touches included within the A-frame that ended up being so useful. For example: bathrobes which were great to quickly throw on in middle of night going to the bathroom and small flashlights. I also appreciated that communal areas had nice smelling hand soap and toilet paper, it’s the details!!! I also loved sitting on the porch of my A-frame to write and enjoy the view. The stars are incredibly bright at night with no light pollution. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely cabin in the hill country. Felt very secluded and calm, definitely want to come back and stay a few more days, the bathrooms, kitchen, game room, and cabin were all very clean and relaxing. I felt like I was at camp, but if camp were a 5 star self sufficiency resort. Sheets and blankets on bed were so comfy!! Loved the bathrobe! Thank you Sarah for a wonderful restful stay!”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary (that I booked as a surprise for him) and let me tell you this place is absolutely breathtaking. The views and the trail is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was very clean as well as the kitchen area. The kitchen was AMAZING I mean we loved the kitchen so so much as well as the provided goods Sarah leaves for the guests. My boyfriend loved this place so much it was exactly what we needed to get away from everything, to turn our phones off, and really get involved with eachother. Amazing conversations were had with the other guests/staff staying there as well. It was just overall an amazing experience and very much needed. Sarah made it very easy for us to get settled and provide one of the best experiences to date. Will be returning in the future!”
